Dance
BALLET.
The most graceful of all dance disciplines, ballet promotes strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. Ballet is the basis of all dance with the class starting at the barre for warming and stretching the body. Then on to centre work with a series of slow, controlled arm movements and arabesques, jumps, leaps, turns, and quick footwork. All age groups, all levels. (Instructor Marj Malcolm)

- Level 2 – Beginner
- Level 3 – Intermediate/Pointe Preparation

POINTE.
Pointe work is specialized training in toe shoes. The student begins at the barre to prepare for balancing and moving without support. Previous ballet training is a must. Going on pointe has little to do with the age of the student, but more to do with technique and strength. (Instructor Marj Malcolm)

TAP.
Soft shoe, quick time, and toe stands…all part of this exciting art form. Making sounds and rhythm with your feet. There are more smiles in a tap class and instant results when you work in this time honored discipline. Whether you are a beginner, or advanced, tap is a fun way to exercise for anyone of any age or level! (Instructor Marj Malcolm)

CONTEMPORARY.
A combination of ballet and jazz. Contemporary – sometimes referred to as Lyrical – incorporates the fluid and controlled moves of ballet, with the freedom to express emotions and the joy of jazz. A must for those looking to dance without strict guidelines but learning placement and rhythm. (Instructor Jeannine Trinka)

JAZZ.
Upbeat music, jumps, turns, and rhythm are all part of the jazz class. Learn the latest moves using a New York jazz technique. Jazz is a must for those looking for a future on stage as a dancer in musicals or any commercial work. AFRICAN MODERN is also taught as part of this class. All levels and ages available. HIP HOP.
You know what it is… you may have tried some of the moves seen on television… it is here, it is hot, and you really move your body. Pop and lock, crumping, you learn it all in hip hop class. The music you love to move to and the freedom to express yourself. Definitely part of your world if you love to dance. All age groups, all levels. (Instructor Lineen Doung)

ACRO.
A style of dance that combines classical dance techniques with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character and unique choreography which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context. (Instructor Marj Malcolm)

STRETCH AND STRENGTH.
This class gives you a total workout without the strain of running or aerobics. All muscle groups are stretched and even crunches don’t feel like an intense workout. Everything is done to motivating and invigorating music… try it… for sure you will want more! (Instructor Marj Malcolm)

PILATES.
A form of exercise, developed to emphasize the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement. Mat work and Reformer work both available. (Instructor Monica Tranter)

COMPANY.
Available on demand, company is a private group of top hand picked dancers (available through audition only) that will be the performers for public appearances, special events, shows, and private functions. Separate rehearsal in addition to regular dance classes will be required.
