Registration Forms

HELLO TO ALL PARENTS AND STUDENTS!

Please take the time to read this registration package in full. It contains important information about our summer programs and full schedules for fall lessons and classes.

Congratulations to all students on your achievements and successes this year! We look forward to seeing many of you return this fall for some new challenges and goals! Sadly, we must say goodbye to those who will be leaving us to travel and pursue higher education at university and college. Best wishes and please keep in touch, we like photos! We will also be saying goodbye to three teachers. Good luck to Christy Taylor who will be leaving Barrie to pursue a full teaching schedule in Toronto, Mackenzie Gallinger who landed in Germany on June 16th for his 2 year contract with the Lunenburg Opera, and to Ingrid Cingolani, retiring after 50 years of teaching and hopefully joining her husband Derni in Costa Rica this winter! Please come back and visit as much as you can!

With our losses come some new additions. The Cingolani Academy would like to welcome our new Dance Team of Marj Malcolm, Jeannine Trinka, Lineen Doung; Pilates coach, Monica Tranter; Piano Teacher and Music Therapist, Natalie Kerr; Junior Drama Teacher Jessica Krelove; and Student Voice Teacher, Kristen Alary. We look forward to a long and exciting year with you!

Registration Information

This year we will be continuing our in-house registration format for the summer and fall. Students and parents will be required to come to the studio to sign up and fill out a registration form on pre-selected dates during June, August, and September.

Our student body has the opportunity to pre-register for the coming year. A $200.00 non-refundable deposit per student (paid in the June registration) will guarantee your previous year time slot and will be credited toward your first semester tuition fees. We will do our best to accommodate a time change if needed. After this time, slots will be given away on a first come, first serve basis.

The studio now accepts 5 forms of payment: cash, cheque, visa, mastercard, and debit. Payment methods are as follows. If paying by cash, debit, visa, or mastercard, the balance of your semester one payment is due in full at your first lesson in September. If paying by cheque, the entire balance of your semester must be paid in full at your first lesson in September in the form of post-dated cheques which must be dated for the 1st of each month. Any other dates will not be accepted.

A 2% monthly interest fee will be applied to any outstanding balance until full payment is made.

Fall Semester Dates:

The studio will be celebrating its 46th year this fall and once again we will continue with our two-semester payment system for all private music, group dance, and group drama lessons. Each semester consists of 19 weeks, giving us a total of 38 lessons in the year. Semester 1 will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 and continue through to Monday, January 31, 2011. There will be a two-week holiday during the winter break in the first semester. Semester 2 will begin on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 and continue through to Monday, June 27, 2011. There will be a two-week holiday during second semester which will be scheduled by your individual teachers during the year.

All Private Drama lessons and Film and Television courses will run in 4-week sessions, individually scheduled throughout the year. The Music Theatre Intensive program will begin with auditions and classes will continue from September through to May with a final production, dates TBA.

Your teacher’s time is valuable. Please be sure to choose a time that will facilitate regular attendance. No credit is given for missed lessons and there are no refunds for lessons not attended. We encourage everyone to read our missed lesson policy (enclosed in the registration form) in full.
