The giving up of my music studio is allowing me to pursue another dream. To bring the art of music to the children of Costa Rica. The country of Costa Rica is very “arts” poor with little to no music, drama, dance, or visual art in the school system. My husband and I will be using our time down in this beautiful country to set up preliminary meetings to get an arts program off the ground. We hope to begin by incorporating children from the village of Sierpe and outlying areas into a small children’s choir. This will take place over a 6 week period in 2012 and will be hosted in the local church with a final presentation at the end of the session.
